things I love: the galaxy of lights.

The Galaxy of Lights in Huntsville, Alabama is fast becoming a holiday tradition with my in-laws. I have no problem with this. Riding through the Huntsville Botanical Gardens at night, listening to Christmas songs and looking at hundreds of intricate and interesting light displays? Yeah, that’ll do it. Angels, reindeer, Santas? Check. An entire area of lighted dinosaurs, including a T-rex chasing a velociraptor? Check. The Hogwarts Express? Check–well, sort of. What used to be the Hogwarts Express is now the Huntsville Express. Boo. Boo, city pride. That’s my only complaint, though.

Below is an image from my favorite part: an area with strings and strings of white lights, draped to look like snow. It’s as close as we usually get in Alabama.
